REMOVAL OF THE OUTER FAN BELT

1. Remove the knob bolt and outer cover to gain access to the fan belt.

2. Withtheoutercoverremoved,grabthefanbeltwithyourthumbandindexngerand

rotate while pulling upward. It could take two or three turns to remove the fan belt.

3. With the fan belt removed you can now check and clean it using a mild detergent. The

fan belt will need to be replaced if it is frayed or showing signs of wear.

4. The pulleys should also be cleaned with a mild detergent.

5. Rotate the pulley by hand to check for bearing play and wear.
